Cybersecurity at Hydroflux: Aligning with Essential Eight and NIST CSF
July 1, 2025
We are pleased to announce that the Hydroflux Group has been independently assessed and confirmed as meeting Essential Eight Maturity Level 1 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) 2.0.
This milestone highlights our proactive approach to managing cyber risks and reinforces our alignment with leading Australian and international cybersecurity standards. It reflects our ongoing commitment to safeguarding data, protecting client trust, and maintaining resilient digital operations.
Why this benefits our clients
Achieving recognised cybersecurity standards isn’t just a milestone for Hydroflux, it delivers real value to the organisations we work with. By investing in robust cyber practices, we help our clients operate with greater confidence and security.

Our approach directly benefits clients by:
- Keeping their information safe from cyber threats and unauthorised access
- Protecting their reputation by maintaining high standards of data security
- Demonstrating compliance with trusted frameworks, which is increasingly important in procurement and supplier assessments
Another key benefit for our clients is the assurance that, with strong cybersecurity in place, Hydroflux remains protected and consistently delivers on its promise thus ensuring that project outcomes are never compromised.
What is the Essential Eight?
Developed by the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC), the Essential Eight is a set of prioritised mitigation strategies proven to significantly reduce the risk of cyber incidents. These aren’t theoretical best practices — they’re real-world, battle-tested controls.
What is NIST?
NIST stands for the National Institute of Standards and Technology, a U.S. government agency that develops trusted standards and frameworks across many industries including cybersecurity. One of its most widely used tools is the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF).
“Cybersecurity is an essential part of how we operate and deliver value to our clients. We’ll continue strengthening our systems and practices to ensure Hydroflux remains a safe, trusted, and resilient partner for the organisations, communities and industries we support.”
